I'm glad you asked. Ok let's be scientific here since I went to the same science high school as RE.

The current events we are seeing now are so dissimilar from the values and beliefs of the vast majority of people that they can be explained only by the imposition of a very powerful minority. Don't forget that aristocracy was the most prevalent form of government throughout history. Personally, I believe that the Age of Enlightenment followed the Scientific Revolution only because they wanted to farm the people for scientific knowledge and technology. And oh my have they reaped a bountiful harvest and probably believe they can get the rest of the knowledge using AI or some sort of other technology to enhance human intelligence. They don't need most of us now.

Who exactly these people are I do not know but there are some very likely candidates.

I like Peter Schiff since he appears to be truthful.

But there's one clever shyster clown on utube who takes the CPI index and Import Price Index then plots their percentage changes on the same graph. Now, there's a strong correlation between the percentage changes in the two indexes, which he asserts applies to the indexes themselves, but this is not true.

Because like the percentages changes in the CPI and IPI are both decreasing but the CPI is increasing and the IPI is decreasing; so, it does not follow that the CPI will decrease because the IPI decreases even though this seems logical.

Another idiot comments on zerohedge that everything is good because the average checking account balance per capita is more. Yea, like 5 people have a trillion dollars and the rest have 5 dollars.

Apparently the decline in the USD Sterling exchange rate is caused by a shortage of dollars as alot of USD debt held overseas. But who knows really?
